About
For more than two decades, Laura Mineff has been creating spaces that help people live better — homes that are functional, beautiful, and thoughtfully aligned with everyday life. As the founder of both Array Design Studio (residential & commercial design) and LJM Construction, Laura brings together the worlds of interior design and construction under one highly coordinated, client-centered approach. Her work eliminates the disconnect that so often happens between plans, trades, and expectations, giving clients a seamless experience from concept to completion.
how it all began
Laura’s career began in interior design, where through Array Design Studio (residential & commercial design) , she developed a reputation for warm, intuitive spaces that prioritize both style and real-life function. As her projects grew in scope, she realized that many clients struggled with the construction phase — miscommunication, unclear pricing, delays, and conflicting recommendations were overwhelmingly common. Instead of accepting that as “just how it is,” Laura created a solution: she opened her own construction company, LJM Construction.
today
Today, Laura leads both the design and construction sides of her projects, ensuring every detail is executed with precision and integrity. With LJM Construction, she oversees renovation and building work by directly coordinating trades, reviewing pricing, managing timelines, clarifying material selections, and protecting her clients from costly mistakes or misaligned decisions. Her dual expertise gives homeowners something rare: a designer who fully understands construction, and a construction professional who deeply honors design.
Her design Approach
As a design-build advocate, Laura steps in to guide homeowners through what can be an overwhelming process. Renovations often come with competing quotes, rushed decisions, jargon-heavy explanations, or recommendations that may not suit the client’s needs. Laura helps clients understand what’s necessary, what’s optional, and what’s truly in their best interest. She ensures the project remains on budget, on schedule, and aligned with the client’s vision — providing clarity, confidence, and peace of mind from start to finish.
Her passion for inclusive, thoughtful design extends into her Universal Design Method, where she creates spaces that work beautifully for people of all ages, abilities, and lifestyles. Laura also incorporates the Fear Free™ Pet Method, designing environments that reduce stress for pets and enhance harmony within the home. To her, design isn’t just about aesthetics — it’s about quality of life.
& beyond
Beyond her client work, Laura is a dedicated educator and communicator. She hosts a YouTube show sharing behind-the-scenes insights into design and construction, speaks at events on Universal Design and design-build advocacy, and is the author of A Round Peg in a Square World, a book about embracing individuality and rethinking the spaces we live in. In 2026, she will launch a series of classes and workshops to help homeowners, DIY renovators, and design professionals build smarter, safer, and more confidently.
her partnerships
Laura also partners with Walk Your Plans in Lakewood, Ohio, using immersive tools to help clients understand layouts, materials, and design decisions before construction begins. This hands-on preview experience gives clients clarity and helps eliminate surprises. This is one more way Laura ensures every project starts with confidence.
Laura is also the CEO of Quint Living Group, a visionary housing and community development organization focused on creating human-centered environments where people live, work, shop, and play. Quint’s holistic approach blends sustainable living, advanced design, and community well-being to shape places that feel intuitive, connected, and uplifting for all who enter. Through this partnership, Laura contributes her design expertise to projects that aim to redefine how communities are experienced and built.
